The complex at St.Vincents caters for the needs of People of all ages with a
Mental Handicap.
Residential Accommodation
A very high standard of residential accommodation is provided in ten purpose-built bungalows within the complex. Each has its own full-time nursing and care staff. A multidisciplinary team provides care, training and education to the residents.
Early Services and Pre-school Facilities
The Early Service Team works in partnership with parents to ensure that the needs of the child are met at the earliest possible stage. The team is multi-disciplinary and provides a service to children from birth to six years of age. Pre-school offers a centre-based service to children prior to commencing formal education. It is open five days a week and encourages all areas of independence, as well as providing Montessori education.
St. Vincents National School
A full educational service for boys and girls aged 4 to 18 years.
Development Education Centre
Geared to the needs of the 418 year-old group with a profound handicap.
Pathways Training Programme
Provides special training to young adults between 18 and 25 years.
Day Care Services
The Day Care provides meaningful day activities for moderately / severely
handicapped adults. The cultivation of social skills is an integral part of the work of this centre, concentrating on the needs of adults. Skills are part of the Day Care Centre and caters for the needs of those who cannot be placed in a sheltered or open work setting.
Respite Care
Providing families with a necessary break while their loved one is well cared for.
