Through state aid and generous supplementary funding from the private sector, we have achieved much for those we respect, love and nurture. Here are the main facilities now in place.

The complex at St.Vincent’s caters for the needs of People of all ages with a
Mental Handicap.

Residential Accommodation
A very high standard of residential accommodation is provided in ten purpose-built bungalows within the complex. Each has its own full-time nursing and care staff. A multi–disciplinary team provides care, training and education to the residents.

Early Services and Pre-school Facilities
The Early Service Team works in partnership with parents to ensure that the needs of the child are met at the earliest possible stage. The team is multi-disciplinary and provides a service to children from birth to six years of age. Pre-school offers a centre-based service to children prior to commencing formal education. It is open five days a week and encourages all areas of independence, as well as providing Montessori education.

St. Vincent’s National School
A full educational service for boys and girls aged 4 to 18 years.

Development Education Centre
Geared to the needs of the 4–18 year-old group with a profound handicap.

Pathways Training Programme
Provides special training to young adults between 18 and 25 years.

Day Care Services
The Day Care provides meaningful day activities for moderately / severely
handicapped adults. The cultivation of social skills is an integral part of the work of this centre, concentrating on the needs of adults. Skills are part of the Day Care Centre and caters for the needs of those who cannot be placed in a sheltered or open work setting.

Respite Care
Providing families with a necessary break while their loved one is well cared for.

Accommodation is provided for 180 elderly ladies with a Mental Handicap.

Bethal House Hospice
This hospice is the first of its kind in Ireland – caring for the very ill and dying
within our Service.

St. Louise’s School of Nursing
Located within the Clonsilla complex and providing recognised nursing qualifications (RMHN), in association with Dublin City University.

Accommodation is currently provided in a temporary capacity for People with
a moderate to severe Mental Handicap within an unsuitable building at Glenmaroon. (These people must be re-housed when monies become available.)

St. Michael’s National School
180 children receiving a full curriculum based education.

Glen College
Offers accredited training in catering and horticulture for young adults in
preparation for suitable employment.

Residential accommodation for over 150 people in private homes in Clonsilla,
Castleknock, Blanchardstown and other areas off the Navan Road.

Located at two centres within the Coolmine Industrial Estate, producing a range of handmade goods for sale on the open market.

The Tofa unit (Tofa means ‘well chosen’) specialises in high quality work in the form of tapestry, embroidery and hand-tufted rugs.

At Weavers a modern range of crafts are created, including mosaics, stencilled pictures, silk paintings and hand-painted pottery.

Clean Sweep offers a horticulture and gardening service.

Kinvara Option Shop, Located off the Navan Road, Dublin 7, is the retail outlet of our Enterprise and Employment Services.
